2008 HSHS Winterguard Roster
2008 Winterguard InformationWelcome to the 2008 Holly Springs High School Winterguard. We are happy to have you with us. You will find in this packet:
If you or your parents have any questions regarding the enclosed, please feel free to contact Mr. Biasi or Rebecca Hayes directly. 2008 Winterguard Basic RulesAll members of the Winterguard are expected to maintain a C average or better in all classes. Any student failing will not be allowed to attend rehearsals or shows until they can document they are no longer failing. Grades will be checked on every member on a weekly basis. All members are expected to attend all rehearsals; however, we are fully aware things can come up. It is each member’s responsibility to contact Mr. Biasi or Rebecca Hayes prior to any missed rehearsal to have the absence excused. Two unexcused absences may remove you from the Winterguard. All members should dress appropriately for all rehearsals. This means no jeans and definitely no skirts. Unless given specific exception from this rule by Rebecca Hayes, no jewelry is to be worn during rehearsals by any members. This rule applies to all jewelry on the body. 2008 Winterguard Tentative Schedule
Dues, Uniforms, Performances and ShowsDuesDues for this season will be $75 per member. This fee will cover equipment and instruction. If you have any financial difficulties with paying these dues, please speak with Rebecca Hayes and we will make alternative arrangements. UniformsEach member will need to provide their own uniform in shades of navy blue. You must be able to move and spin in whatever you choose and you will need to get approval from Rebecca Hayes on your uniform prior to using it as such. PerformancesAt the moment we only have one solid performance and that will be at the Band Banquet. We will make every effort to schedule other performances with plenty of notice to our members. ShowsAtlantic Indoor Association currently has several local shows scheduled, which are all on your tentative schedule. It is not mandatory that you attend these shows, as we will only be there to watch other performances. However, this is an excellent opportunity to get to know the sport without the stress of having to compete as well. Please make every effort to attend. If you are interested in carpooling for a show, please contact Rebecca Hayes and we can set something up. The first show is at Green Hope High School in Cary. This is a short distance away. The show begins at 3pm and will end shortly after 9 in the evening. The cost to get in will be under $10 and concessions are sold during the show. |
